Shell Energy (formally First Utility) – the worst customer service ever??
Josh Walsh-granger New: 4 June 2020 Imagine not even being supplied by shell energy and they send you bills and debt collectors out and ring the police and say there concerned about my welfare and then they try offering me £40 Philip Bamford: 4 June 2020 Ive just left them and they’ve took another direct debit on the same day my supply started with the new supplier Mike Davis: 28 May at 16:14 Im not suprised to find a group on here that are in the same boat as me, that of having to deal with the absolute useless company that is Shell Energy, as First Utility they were fine, but since moving to Shell its become an absolute shambles. has anyone taken them to court yet ? as they keep telling me I still owe an amount of money despite me paying them £100 a month which I can prove. coupled with the herrasing emails and txts on a daily basis, the amount owed is still the same, i rang today to say my payments are not coming of the bill for the man to put the phone down on me, truely shambolic. Firstly I repeat and cannot overstate that your company is undoubtedly the most incompetent, bullying and disgusting organisation it has ever been my misfortune to deal with.
Following the Ombudsman’s decision on February 24th and your letter of the same date, I have been expecting a final itemised invoice within the ten days as promised.
However, today THREE letters have been received as follows:
1/ The first letter dated March 1st states that you have tried to contact me on several occasions, which is a deliberate lie. The letter then threatens collection and recovery action from yourselves.

“Customer service is terrible been trying 2 phone 4 ages.and kept on hold usually for 30 to 40 minutes. And end up having to hang up. glad my contact is nearing end .coz I will b leaving them.” “shocking service I am currently Shell Energy customer (won’t be long before I switch) I have find out that our gas bill is 3 times higher than what it should be, queried this in July last year and still waiting to resolve this issue.Just spent an hour and 40 mins with them on the phone, they took 50 mins just to answer phone??? Shocking service
