Shell Energy Broadband – Don’t do it!

Shell Energy Broadband have to be the worst company I’ve ever had the mis-fortune to deal with. I was moved from the Post Office to Shell Energy and decided to leave.I have wasted approximately 2 days of my life trying to speak to customer service, retentions, complaints and then around the same merry go round… Passed from one incorrect team to another, arrogant staff who don’t give a toss. If you like poor customer service, then Shell Energy Broadband is the leaders. They may be cheap, but please be aware that if you ever need to talk to them then be prepared to waste hours on the phone trying to get through and even then, you’ll be handed off from one incorrect area to another………Just don’t do it read more

Forbes Global 2000: Shell Becomes Europe’s Top Public Company As Oil Price Boom Drives Profits

David Dawkins: Forbes Staff: MAY 12, 2022

Petrol and energy giant Royal Dutch Shell has reclaimed its spot as Europe’s top-ranked public company on the Forbes Global 2000 ranking, pushing German car giant Volkswagen AG back down into second place.

The London-based Anglo-Dutch giant, with its distinctive yellow and red branding seen across Europe’s gasoline forecourts, is valued at $211 billion this year, a rise of nearly 40% over the year and over double the value of second-placed Volkswagen AG.

In May, Shell reported its highest ever quarterly profits for the first three months of 2022 at $9.13 billion, following a sharp rise in oil prices further heightened by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February and the punitive sanction regime placed on Russia thereafter. Having fallen to 324 on the list of 2000 listed companies last year, Shell has shaken off its pandemic blues and returned to the 16th spot globally in 2022. read more

Shell sells Russian retail business to Lukoil

May 12 (Reuters) – Russia’s second-largest oil producer Lukoil (LKOH.MM) will buy Shell’s (SHEL.L) Russian retail and lubricants businesses, the companies said on Thursday, as the British oil major moves ahead with its exit from the country following its Ukraine invasion.

The deal includes 411 retail stations, mainly located in the Central and Northwestern regions of Russia, and the Torzhok lubricants blending plant, Shell said in a statement.

“The acquisition of Shell’s high-quality businesses in Russia fits well into Lukoil’s strategy to develop its priority sales channels, including retail, as well as the lubricants business,” said Maxim Donde, a vice-president with Lukoil.

Neither Shell, nor Lukoil would not comment on the value of the deal, which still requires the approval of Russia’s anti-monopoly authorities. read more

“Under this deal, more than 350 people currently employed by Shell Neft will transfer to the new owner of this business,” Shell said. read more
