“…this company is overwhelmed by complaints and customers spend over a hour waiting to speak to a person.”: “Broadband still not working 3 weeks after connection date…”

Allegedly Shell Energy purports to be a telecommunications company.Sadly this company is lacking in all departments. I don’t wonder if their customer service people wake up screaming. *Sorry! *We do understand *We apologize *Thank you for your patience *You have come through to gas & electric. None of these employees have any means of resolving issues so have to resort to platitudes. The result is thatthis company is overwhelmed by complaintsand customers spend over a hour waiting to speak to a person. The only way to get through is via social media but still not much is achieved.
Since Shell Energy took over from the Post Office they are pleased to take in fees without giving the service paid for. No wonder Shell profits are soaring! My own problems have been ongoing for almost a month now without a result.
Incidentally still waiting for the contract details promised on 7/4/2022.read more

SHELL ENERGY ‘ROTTEN, RUBBISH BROADBAND!’

I have been with SHELL Energy Broadband now for three terrible months. I had no choice because they took over my Post Office B/b account and I could not leave. I have nearly a year left on this rotten system. For some reason, it is far, far worse than it ever was. The Post Office was not good but this is a absolutely abysmal. Even short downloaded programs off YouTube continually stop with that “Loading” message. Music videos just stop midway and take over 5 minutes to load in many cases. I have just tried to watch a SKY NEWS clip on YouTube which is 1 minute 45 seconds long. It took nearly 4 minutes to load and then kept stopping! Trying to contact Shell on the phone is totally pointless and Emails get no response. THIS IS ROTTEN, RUBBISH BROADBAND! Do yourself a big, big favour and go elsewhere for yours! Stay away from SHELL, whatever you do!read more
Shell Energy Broadband has not worked since the day it was installed. Almost non-existant customer service and a manager needs to sanction the solution – yet you cannot speak to a manager. You have to wait for them to call you back – so far 10 days and no call back, despite repeated requests and emails for one. Each phone call requesting a call back takes nearly an hour. No service, no refund and appalling communication.read more
A fifth of Shell shareholders have voted to reject its climate transition plans, almost double the rebellion that it endured a year ago.
The revolt came at a chaotic annual general meeting in London that was delayed for several hours after disruption by environmental protesters. Sir Andrew Mackenzie, Shell’s chairman, called police to clear the room at Central Hall in Westminster and three people were arrested outside the venue.
Shell, Europe’s biggest oil and gas group, is under intense scrutiny by investors and wider society over the speed of its plans to make the transition to cleaner energy. It has committed to eliminating its emissions to net zero by 2050, but faces pressure to make steep cuts in the near term, including from aread more
At 8:27 a.m. on Monday morning Caroline Dennett emailed 1,400 executives at the oil and gas conglomerate, Shell, to announce her resignation after 11 years doing safety consulting for the company through her firm, .
Shell’s internal safety program is dubbed “Goal Zero” and its aim is to have “no harm and no leaks,” Dennett said. “The Goal Zero is honorable, but they don’t equate that to the harms that are being done on a massive scale,” she told CNBC.
At 8:27 a.m. on Monday morning, May 23, Caroline Dennett emailed 1,400 executives at the oil and gas conglomerate, Shell, to announce her resignation after 11 years working as a safety consultant.
Dennett, who is based near London, asked executives and management at Shell “to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they really believe their vision for more oil and gas extraction secures a safe future for humanity.”read more
Shell broadband doesn’t have a category in trust pilot. Why? Could it be that there were ZERO satisfied customers since their takeover of various broadband ISP’s? Certainly there seems to be someone (apparently from shell bband) monitoring the 1 star reviews and complaints here in the shell energy category.read more

During the Q&A session at the Shell Plc Annual General Meeting held today in London, a shareholder drew attention to a survey of UK energy companies, the findings of which reflected badly on Shell.
Shell Energy ranked as one of the worst companies in terms of *customer satisfaction.
Shell Plc Chief Executive Officer Ben van Beurden frankly admitted that all is not well at Shell Energy and pledged that remedial action will be taken.

We have just moved house and gone with shell broadband, the signal is pants out of 6 days of it we have had signal for 1 day, took me 55mins on the phone just to get somebody to speak to me and couldn’t do anything about it, arranged a call back next day and that night we had a clean signal but nothing since. I just want to leave now cos this is costing me for something I can’t receive.read more
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.The worst broadband company I have ever had to deal with. No one seems to know what they are talking about. Took ages to set up as staff kept getting details wrong, such bad connection I would give up watching a programme and go to bed, cheap tacky router which they actually wanted returning when I moved, router was is storage as I intended on continuing with shell when I found a house (living with my daughter at the moment). Now they want to charge me for the router and charge me for the rest of the year – nearly £200 – as I ‘have a contract with them’. All other companies connected with me selling my house have been great, occasional charge for ending a contract early but all expected. This company just want your money, not interested in the customer. the fact that they want money for providing no service is disgusting. One very helpful member of staff said she would refer me to the complaints department, then quite happily told me I would still owe them to the end of the year! Another unhelpful member of staff said she ‘understood’ why I was annoyed at the cost, but she clearly didn’t ‘understand’ at all – no one “understands” that it is fair to charge a customer for the year with no provision of a service. My ‘complaints’ phone call was a message to call them back! Great customer service! They obviously have so many complaints they only have time for one call. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUEread more
Am a new broadband customer, but broadband keeps cutting out and slow, tried many times to ring them to cancel, but no answer to their call center. Very bad experience from start, their customer service doesn’t work either online or via phone calls.
Absolutely awful customer service. Broadband has never worked, refuse to let you cancel or refund you. Long waiting times to speak to anyone yet cant ring you when you report an issue!
Yet again disgusted with this company. I have contacted them regarding my energy bills going up and up and each month they want more and more. I live alone don’t use my oven anymore only shower twice a week wash up in the sink use my washing machine once a fortnight, I pay £110 per month and now I amin debit. They do not answer my emails and if I am ever luckily enough to speak to a agent I can’t understand them as they are mainly Indian and having hearing problems it’s very very difficult. I am aware of the situation but my neighbour uses much more energy than me and has 2 at home and visitors nearly every weekend using all his entertainment facilities. He is with British Gas and only paying £80 a month. How do you think I feel when I see what profits they have made in a few months and yet I suffer daily worrying. I might as well be deadand I’m sure when the next rise I energy comes and winter I will be I just can’t continue they are a totally disgusting and terrible company I wish I could move to someone else who cares and helps pensioners suffering I also on a debt management plan since losing my husband suddenly. I didn’t want to give them any stars I would love to give minus but you don’t give us the facility to do this.A money grabbing load of lying hypocrites a blood sucking vile company. They are ruining any sort of I should at the age of 81.read more

Absolutely useless. My 80 year old mother has been constantly chased by them for payments she has already made and threatened with being cut off – happens every month. When you try and phone customer services they don’t know what they’re doing – you have to wait over 45 minutes to get through and they usually cut you off anyway. It’s nothing short of harassment – I’ve never known such a useless companyread more

Shell Energy Broadband have to be the worst company I’ve ever had the mis-fortune to deal with. I was moved from the Post Office to Shell Energy and decided to leave.I have wasted approximately 2 days of my life trying to speak to customer service, retentions, complaints and then around the same merry go round… Passed from one incorrect team to another, arrogant staff who don’t give a toss. If you like poor customer service, then Shell Energy Broadband is the leaders. They may be cheap, but please be aware that if you ever need to talk to them then be prepared to waste hours on the phone trying to get through and even then, you’ll be handed off from one incorrect area to another………Just don’t do itread more
Since the start of April I have been trying to inform Shell Energy Broadband of the death of my mother and their customer services will not answer the phone or read their Emails. Then on Saturday 7th May they send my mother a bill with a due date of Monday 9th May. These people are not fit to operate an essential service. Needless to say, I will not be taking over my mother’s contract.read more
Just let me me know they’re ‘generously’ postponing a planned price increase for my broadband. Which means they plan to increase the price from the price I agreed to pay when I signed a contract with them. Apparently this is legal but I fail to see how this differs from fraud, especially as I am not allowed to cancel the contract when they increase their prices. Absolutely disgusted by Shelland will definitely be moving on at the end of my contract. Disgusting, unethical behaviour. Talk Talk didn’t even pull this sort of nonsense.read more
I do not recommend for broadband at all, my contract is so close to ending and all we have are internet problems, not to mention there were times I did not even get the correct speed promised. Internet keeps dipping and I have a 75mb line and only getting like 16mb. Not impressed so glad I changed suppliers.
Worst customer service ever! 3 x calls, all over an hour and still no answer from customer services! Disgusting!! no other way for my 82 year old client to contact them – the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I have experience of dealing with DWP and HMRC – these guys are muppets! Do not use!!
I have waited for 50 minutes, twice, waiting for Customer Service (does it actually exist?) before having to hang up. I need to sort out my late Mother’s account after receiving a statement showing a CREDIT, but with a demand to pay. It seems her phone service with the Post Office was taken over by Shell Energy. Life is distressing enough at the moment without navigating a large Company like Shell not having a half decent way to help me sort out my query. Appalling!read more
