Vicious Infighting at the top of Shell Corporate Security

Vicious Infighting at the top of Shell Corporate Security

By John Donovan

Former high-level American spooks at Shell Corporate Security, including Mr Crockett Oaks III, have made serious discrimination accusations against the mysterious Brit, Mr James W.D. Hall.

Mr Hall was once described as the top executive in Shell’s entire corporate security organization, including the Business Integrity Department. He worked for the UK Foreign Office for many years, perhaps as a spymaster. In legal papers filed yesterday, it is alleged that “Hall is a professional peddler of falsehoods”. At the time of publication of this article, Mr Hall is Business Advisor, Project Lead and Chief of Staff to the Group Crisis Team at Shell. They must be busy. read more

How Shell lost control of its $24B Prelude floating gas factory

How Shell lost control of its $24B Prelude floating gas factory

By Peter Milne

In early December a small fire on Shell’s 488-m Prelude gas facility off WA’s coast kicked off a cascade of failures that left about 250 workers, 475 km from Broome, without communications, lights, running water or access to helicopters.

With almost every system on Australia’s most complex offshore facility out of action workers scrambled to restart power that everything depended on, with at least two stretchered to the Prelude’s hospital with heat exhaustion. read more

Judgment reserved in second interdict against Shell’s Wild Coast exploration

The Citizen

Judgment reserved in second interdict against Shell’s Wild Coast exploration

Judgment has been reserved “until further notice” in the second urgent interdict application against oil and petroleum giant Royal Dutch Shell.

Shell has been conducting a 3D seismic survey along the Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape since the beginning of December, to look for oil and gas.

Concerned residents and environmental groups are arguing the seismic blasting is taking place at the expense of marine life and violates several cultural rights of the indigenous people living on the coast. read more

Shell Energy Broadband ‘Worst Company Ever’

20 Dec 2021

The content below is sourced from current customer reviews of Shell Energy Broadband published on Trustpilot.

…they are a terrible company with disgusting customer service and they made my mental health state a lot worse…

WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!!

people should stay clear of this company. I changed from Bt broadband to this company as this company was cheaper, I ran into financial difficulties and could not afford to pay my 23 pound broadband bill on the due date I rang the customer services and emailed them asking if they could please give me a 2 week extension so I could pay my bill 2 weeks later and I explained the situation and that I really needed my broadband connection to not be switched off as use it for the tv etc and suffer with mental health issues like severe depression and I don’t leave the house really because of my severe anxiety so I use the internet to keep my occupied online and stuff. anyway the advisor was totally horrible not helpful at all they told me they could not do anything at all an told me to get the money from somewhere because If I didn’t pay by the end of the day they would disconnect my broadband and I would be charged late payment fees. They was true to there word they disconnected my broadband early hours the next morning and they kept sending me emails and text messages a few times a day for the next 2 weeks demanding the £23 pound payment. I did pay it 2 weeks later but wish I didn’t they are a terrible company with disgusting customer service and they made my mental health state a lot worse for them 2 weeks read more

Trustpilot Verdict on Shell Energy: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID…Minus 1,000,000 Stars

Complaining is a waste of time

Further to other numerous complaints about Shell Energy, here’s my final one to add to the collection. As of 01.02.22, I shall be put on the standard tariff, which means that the recent whole sale price increases in both gas and electricity will appear on my bills from that date. These increases I have to accept, just like everyone else. The percentage increases equate to 35.17% per KWh on electricity and 67.93% per KWh on gas. read more
