Don’t set up account with them they will scam you !!!

Terrible company, avoid at all cost!!!!! They couldn’t set up my account for 10 months which means I couldn’t pay any bills for all this period, on top of that they set up a wrong tariff and charged me more for energy. Randomly after 10 months, they send me a bill for £539 and demand to pay it immediately and contact them immediately to solve the case because they charge me too much, and they pass on my details to the debt collector Zinc. Now they are harassing me with calls and letters, and Shell is not replying to my emails when I ask them when I will receive the correct bill! They just clearly don’t care they only care about money and will use all tactics to scare you to pay even when they know they made loads of mistakes along the way. Funny they couldn’t set up my account for 10 months even longer when I look at the time when I opened an account online, but they passed my detail to the debt collector company in 2 weeks !!!!!! Total scammers.

I have tried in vain to sort out a payment plan with Shell energy – They set up the direct debit then it gets cancelled !! My utility bill is now bordering on 2.5k and still cannot get to sort this out – Any information would be great !! This as gone on for months and months . Then they have the cheek and audacity to send a debt letter .

Another so called debt collector!

Yet again their so called debt collectors are ringing me. The so called bill was paid but the harassment from both them and their so called debt collector. How did they manage to find my home phone number when it is a private withheld number. They ring me every day up to about 8pm and this is a complete disgusting way of trying to sort out their records when the fact remains the problem originates from them! total disaster as not even a blooming apology.

I joined shell a year ago for both my gas and electric, in that time I have had NO communication, no invoices, no meter readings. At the beginning I had confirmation that my DD was set up. After a year I had a bill for £948, along with texts and the credit people calling me threatening action if I didn’t pay it. I provided 2 meter readings and a meter reader actually came around the house and still they were chasing me for the full amount. I was paying £37 a month with my previous supplier and I was in credit and ironically Shell was supposed to be ”cheaper”. The MOST frustrating thing is you can’t contact customer service, only via an online tool with examples such as me: I have provided a new meter reading, can you please send me a new bill, Shell: Sorry I don’t understand the question…this basically goes on, Can I set up a DD, Yes that will be £130 pm (me) but I don’t use that much gas/elec, shell: Sorry I don’t understand the question.

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs! I topped up my electrically meter yesterday with £85 the “smart meter didn’t top up the payment and they cut the powder at 9am…12 hours later we’ve only just got it back on after an engineer came out and had to replace the entire meter (only had the first one fitted 2 months ago) all our foods gone off and I’ve missed a day of work for all this. The £85 payment still hasn’t gone on as we’ve had to get a whole new meter put in. Ever since our electric company got bought out by shell it’s been an absolute nightmare! I’m sure they won’t be replacing my days wage or all our food and probably the £85.. never had such a bad experience.
