Shell broadband are the worst ever

Shell broadband are quite simply a complete con. My live date was 24/8/21 and all I got was sorry this and sorry that for the reasons they couldn’t connect it all up. It’s now 6/10/21 and I’ve just had to cancel it all together as it’s still not fitted up or connected. I advise anyone to not use this company as they are literally thieves. They are the worst service I’ve ever ever seen . There live chat and phone operators are incompetent to athe highest level. They push you to every department passing the buck all the time. It’s a shocking service and I have contacted bbc watchdog to make them aware of it too . Avoid this at all costs read more

Please don’t get ripped off by this company they really dont give a care about any of their customers and prefer to send you to the ombudsman.

They think they can do what they want as other companies are nkw going bust.

Please stay away from Shell Energy they are terrible!!!

WORST COMPANY EVER!!!

WORST COMPANY EVER!!!
The customer service advisors are completely void of all human emotion. They have messed me about on multiple occasions going back to February. I’m not even a customer of this energy provider, I’m dealing with the fallout of the previous tenants of a house I moved into. This company has caused me to become so stressed with their unhelpful nature, I couldn’t help but burst into tears cause of the stress and the person on the other end of the phone hung up on me. I cannot wait to be rid of these hideous people! I know that there are issues with energy at the moment but do yourself a huge favour and do not join up to this dreadful company! Wish I could give 0 stars, they dont even deserve 1! read more

“We’re disappointed by the decision and are considering the implications,” a Shell spokesperson said. Industry publication Energy Voice initially reported the move by the regulator. read more

Oil, gas, LNG to be Shell’s ‘cash engines’ for decades: CEO Van Beurden

Shell plans to keep investing in oil, gas and liquefied natural gas as the “cash engines” for the energy transition and expects its giant LNG Canada project, targeted at Asian markets, will operate well into the second half of the century, CEO Ben van Beurden said Oct. 6.

Speaking at the online Energy Intelligence Forum, Van Beurden dismissed notions of winding down the upstream oil and gas business as “silly” and said there was “nothing illegitimate” about producing oil and gas. In the global energy system, “to just believe that you can switch 100% from coal to 100% renewables…is a little bit of a silly notion,” he said. read more

LONDON, Oct 5 (Reuters) – The gas market has faced a “perfect storm” of cold weather, supply concerns and increased demand but it will stabilise eventually, an executive at Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) said on Tuesday.

“This turbulence will pass. It might take a while, but the market will stabilise at sensible levels,” De la Rey Venter, executive vice president at LNG West, which handles Shell’s natural gas assets in Canada, Europe Africa and Latin America, told a virtual conference. read more

Another roller-coaster year at Shell

FORTUNE

SHELL CFO: Jessica Uhl

It was another roller-coaster year at Shell, where Uhl has served as CFO since 2017 and played a fundamental role in the energy giant’s emissions targets and pivot toward renewable energy. In 2020, while grappling with a historic drop in energy demand, Shell announced its net-zero-by-2050 emissions target, which will require the company to transform its business away from fossil fuels.

That plan has also been accelerated under pressure from a Dutch court ruling in May that demanded Shell move up its targets. read more

Popular broadband company quietly drops promise to customers, here’s what you need to know

By AARON BROWN: 10:14, Wed, Oct 6, 2021 | UPDATED: 10:14, Wed, Oct 6, 2021

Shell Energy Broadband has dropped its pledge to never increase your monthly bills at the end of your contract. In addition, the broadband provider will adopt annual price hikes for its customers. Shell Energy will raise its prices by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) plus up to 3 percent – that’s the same formula used by BT and EE.

Until now, Shell Energy Broadband differentiated itself from other internet suppliers with its pledge that it would never rise monthly bills. Even when contracts came to an end, customers could expect to see the same amount leave their current account every month. As such, customers didn’t necessarily need to worry about shopping around for new deals from their existing provider or discounts from new firms to stop spiralling bills. read more
