Shell’s U.S. exit gives investors a sugar rush

LONDON, Sept 21 (Reuters Breakingviews) – Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L), has left the building. The $153 billion Anglo-Dutch oil giant on Monday offloaded 225,000 acres of shale assets in the Permian basin to U.S. rival ConocoPhillips (COP.N) for $9.5 billion in cash.

With oil at $70 per barrel, the price looks on the low side: consultancy Wood Mackenzie estimates the assets are worth more than $13 billion. But at $42,000 an acre it’s roughly in line with recent local deals, according to Berenberg analysts. read more

Avoid Shell Broadband like the plaque

Avoid Shell Broadband, losts of hidden costs once you leave after your contracts ended!! I found shell’s broadband offer last year at the “money saving expert” webside, he is usually very good to explain your benefits and your costs -unfortunately no mention what’s happen, once your contract finished and you try to leave!

As soon as my new company cancelt my continuing with shell, I got an email that I have to pay £12.– ceasing fee -even my contract ended on the 31.Aug.2021 and the transfer date was the 6.9.2021! I called customer service, they explained: if I’m in contract I have to pay an in-contract ceasing-fee, and now I have to pay an out-of-contract ceasing-fee -unbelievable, never experienced something like this before! To top it all up and add more stress to it, they want the old router back -off course all at my own costs -if I’m not able to do so, they charge me £35.– for it! read more

Energy Company from Hell

Shell Energy are the worst energy company I have ever dealt with. I had a tenanted property where the previous tenant had signed up to one of their pay as you go electricity card. It was winter and their very expensive tariff cost me a fortune when i kept topping it up. they blocked my transfer to another company and I had to involve the Energy Ombudsman. I have now sold the property but even now my solicitors can’t get a final bill from them to pay. Avoid at all cost. read more
