Terrible Experience for a New Customer

I am a new customer to Shell Energy and I am trying to open an online account. I have received my first bill. Nowhere on the website or the bill does it tell me how to get an online account so I rang customer service and they put me through to SMS who said they could not help me. I rang in again and was given an option to enter my account number. I tried this 3 times but the number was not recognised. I then waited in a queue for 15 minutes and was put through to emovers. I spoke to this person for 10 minutes providing meter readings etc. However after a total call time of 30 minutes I was cut off. I have no more time today to try to work out their systems. This was such a frustrating experience for a new customer.

Months and months spent trying to get basic information and withheld funds

Joined in July. They passed on incorrect meter readings (from a smart meter) to my old supplier and I spent 5 months constantly getting in touch to have it remedied so my old supplier could refund me.

Nearly a year on, I still get an error when I try to see how much energy I’ve used. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve gotten in touch with their support to try and get it working.

I’m constantly being told that my query has been forwarded to the appropriate department and I’ll get an email soon. I never do

Need better communication between office/site engineers

The on-site smart meter engineer (friendly guy) tells you one set of instructions and then you contact shell as advised by the engineer and the online advisor states Shell can’t help for 28 days. Therefore smart meter does not do what they say it will. Waste of a days annual leave after being bullied into getting the meters fitted. Shouldn’t have upgraded as we were happy the way it was.

STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Vile company with zero ethics or thought for their bullying actions. We got conned into having a smart meter fitted.. smart for shell not for us.. first bill arrived as £1600ish.. disputed it for ages and fobbed off constantly.. Hell Energy were unable to contact me so called and spoke to my wife who has anxiety and depression.. they threatened that if the bill wasn’t paid in full they would proceed with court action, and even threatened forced entry into our house .. I got back from work in the evening to be greeted with a house in total darkness and my wife sobbing in the living room scared. this company should be avoided at all costs .. they have zero moral codes and will just bully and push until they get what they are after at all costs…
