AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I don’t normally write reviews but this useless excuse for a company means I must warn others. Shell oil company is a well respected firm so naturally when I seen they were moving into domestic energy supply I thought. Must be ok. I hadn’t realised it was first utility with a sticker.

From start to finish the move has been a nightmare. They said there was an issue and they couldn’t switch gas. I checked there was an issue with previous tenant. Got resolved.

So I called back to tell them to now continue with switch. Sorry sir we closed your account.

Oh ok. Well don’t worry I’ll go elsewhere then. So I chose another provider. All was going well until they said Shell had continued to try to switch my account after closing my account?! What the hell. So they switched the electric to them and left the gas at the old supplier. And my new supplier is asking whats is going on?

Shell don’t know. No one to talk to. You’ll get a call back. No call back. I call back. It’s with a special team. They’ll call you back. No call back. Scott the team manager calls to tell me they haven’t assigned a case handler yet. And he had no idea what’s going wrong or where my case is up to. Are you for real?!

I phone new supplier and tell them transfer both gas and electric NOW. From these clowns below they do any more damage.

While Shell are still trying to figure out what’s going on. I’ve already moved on.

AVOID THESE CLOWNS AT ALL COSTS.

AVOID SHELL ENERGY AT ALL COSTS

Moved house, and Shell agreed when we got keys, which eventually was 4 months later, had agreed n matter how long, they will do transfer and credit exit fees on first bill at new house, which we kept a copy of.Fast forward, spoke to them,Shell said here is your new tarriff.said no we were on a fixed 3 year deal,as agreed for transfer, said they cant do that, then said cant do quarterly direct debits either!Total shambles and lies all the time.Tried to sell us a new huge tarriff and said monthly d/b was £148 a month! Tell u what, avoid this lot..dont go anywhere near them..very unhelpful and only interested in huge tarrifs despite they are meant to tell u if its their LOWEST tarriff. MICKEY MOUSE OUTFIT

Does anyone ever get a reward?

Referred a friend and received an email from Shell telling me that my friend had taken up my offer to join shell and I’d receive an email in 60 days with my reward. As I received no email or credit to my account, I emailed shell who told me that my friend did not sign up via the invitation link. If that was the case, why did I receive an email confirming the sign up? I phoned Shell who had ‘no record’ of the confirmation email. I may be a cynic but I can’t help thinking that Shell offer these rewards with the intention of making it highly unlikely/virtually impossible that any customers will ever receive them. I may be wrong, of course, but I suspect that Shell hope that its customers will forget about the reward, 2-3 months down the line, and that they won’t be able to successfully evidence their claim to a reward. It makes me wonder how many customers have actually received the refer-a-friend reward. Also, a couple of months after switching, my DD increased by over 10%. I’m not a regular ‘switcher’ but will certainly shop around when my contract is up, as will my friend who switched to Shell by my invitation due to the reward offer. Another cause for disappointment is the suggestion that Shell could provide discounted broadband and boiler cover to its energy customers: neither service is available. In response to the reply from Shell, it would be a good start if you got my name right! You’re right, it shouldn’t be a problem to get the reward if the friend used the link, but it is a problem, and seems to be a problem for a lot of customers on Trustpilot. My attempts to get the reward promised has been escalated to a complaint. My comment about broadband refers not to any discount, but the fact that broadband is just not available! I await the response from Shell from my email and complaint and will update this review with advice for other customers then.

I’m a recent new customer

I’m a recent new customer. I was told what i would pay via DD before I signed up. After I Signed up and my gas an electric was transfered Ive been charged abour 40% more than I was told and what i’m accually using. I complaned and was told that i would only be charged for what im using. I’m still being charged about 40% more money than im using. And i now can’t cancil my contract. Not happy in anyway that im having money been taken from my bank account that is not theres.

One of the rewards and reasons I joined…

One of the rewards and reasons I joined Shell Energy was the 3% off fuel up to 60litres per month, After receiving my Shell go+ card and key fob I filled up with £30.00 worth of petrol and only got £1.00 off which was a reward which I claimed, no sign of the 3% off, I raised this in a Telecom with Shell go+ and was told I had to claim this 3% off, which is not true as the site clearly states in my account that I do not have to claim this 3% as it should be automatically deducted? So not giving up I sent an Email to Shell go+ asking for this to be resolved but as of yet have not received any reply!

The app with my bills and information…

The app with my bills and information on is rubbish didn’t want to move from NPower was happy there but forced to because EON took over

I’d avoid if I did this again!

6 weeks after I switched to Shell I am still trying to get them to accept my opening reading as correct, despite providing photographic evidence. It is impossible to deal with!
