Terrible customer service

Employees will put you on hold and never pick up again or pass you around the call centre

Employees refuse to tell their names and msy just hang up. If an employee thinks your asking information possibly to complain you will be hung up on

Employees lie about being able to provide hot bill

Wmployees will try and make you pay estimated bills and refuse to rectify with accurate meter readings

Employees will make up whatever they need to say to get you off the phone

If you are ever asked to be put on hold refuse this as you will be hung up on after a few minutes on hold

Employees lie, tell you what they want, theres no hierarchy to ensure this doesn’t happen and making a complaint is utterly useless as the people you are complaining about are the ones dealing with complaints

No other words but dreadful. The customer service is appalling and the smart meter scam is in full effect with Shell. AVIOD!!

FYI please check your installation of your smart meter, it could be prone to the Shell scam. Has your electricity cost risen suddenly since a smart meter has been installed? Check the cables entering your main electricity meter are the correct calibration, some have been deliberately restricted as to choke resistance and hence misled your meter. This means usage is incorrectly shown/billed. It’s a well known scam reported to OFGEM, HMRC and ministry responsible for energy but they are all too scared to take on such a large multinational and refuse to investigate. It was found to be happening across Europe & after investigation banned, so Shell now try the scam on the sleepy UK public.

rang these scammers today to ask them to confirm my exit fees of £30 per fuel . told by some slimy person that the exit fee is now £50 per fuel . how did that happen . the woman who reolied to my previous review blames me for not getting the warm home discount that I am entitled to and says she can check it for me . the one before her said the same so why have they both not done so ?they are liars & cheats. I HAVE BEEN CHECKING ON SHELL ENERGY AND IT APPEARS THAT THEY CAME 29th OUT OF 35th IN A WHICH SURVEY.WELL TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE HEAP. I WILL BE CHANGING TO AN HONEST SUPPLIER WHO WILL COST £330 PER YEAR LESS + WARM HOME DISCOUNT (£140 ) + NO EXIT CHARGES . I WONT NAME THEM AS SHELL WILL PROBABLY TRY TO USE IT AGAINST ME . THEY ARE SO DEVIOUS . BYE-BYE SHELL . NOW LETS SEE THEIR LYING REPLY . ONLY USE THEM IF YOU ENJOY BEING LIED TO AND RIPPED OFF .445809

Worst experience, scammed of money with false promises.

Cant give them a 0 so 1 star that is.
My wife got talked in to new deal by one of their representatives in our Coventry Tesco Arena.
She was promised very good prices, lower than ones we had that time, plus a 50£ voucher which she never received.

Here I’am now, 1.5 years later, days from switching to Scottish Power after our bills sky rocketed and even paying 40% more per month than we use to, we are still 900£ in debt with them plus 100£ penalty for early cancellation.
Nothing in the house changed drastically to explain high consumption & bills.
Take it from electrical engineer.

Smart meter broke, they don’t wanna hear it. Complete ignorance and no control over what is actually consuming our energy.

We are considering talking to financial ombudsman and will discuss further ways to investigate our consumption and prices with 3rd party specialist since its cheap to do so.

All I can say is Avoid at all cost!
Worst experience since becoming a grown up man with bills to pay.
Shell Energy cant be trusted at all.

another company sending out emails about covid-19.
i received 2 emails, account numbers with them too.

Split with my ex and phoned Shell to…

Split with my ex and phoned Shell to tell them as the energy account was in her name . Was told they couldn’t speak to me as account was in ex’s name . Told them had no contact with her and she’d moved away but again was told same thing. Kept paying the bill and 12 months later when ex moved back into area I live I managed to get in touch with her and get the account details . Found out that I was £884 in debt on the account even though id paid £975 during the 12 months .
When I talked to she’ll again and explained the situation was told they should of changed the account 12 months ago but didn’t and I’d have to pay the extra because the account was on the most expensive tarriff . Really poor customer service. and its sister websites,,,,, and are all owned by John Donovan. There is also a Wikipedia article.
