Terrible Customer Service

My problem is still unresolved takes an hour to get through , someone supposed to be looking into how my 5 yr contract was sold that was nearly 4 wks ago, nobody can give me a final settlement to allow me to leave , promised a call back last week and an e mail , neither have happened, I’m going to report to trading standards as they have me on a high tariff whilst waiting for them to respond which they never do. Terrible customer service.

Got an email off shell broadband saying I have changed broadband providers and my broadband will be terminated I havnt changed providers at all they said I would be charged 85 pound early leaving fee looked on website for number to contact them only to find a virtual person to talk to and no contact number not a happy customer

Very disappointed with the service

Very disappointed with the service. When ever you call you have to wait for ages for someone to answer your. I wish they had more advisors available to take calls.

I formally request you stop harassing me about having a smart meter installed. I have told you many times verbally that I do NOT want one and yet you still phone me at least once a day! EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! If you do not stop harassing me, I will be sending you a cease and desist letter.

I join first utility was paying 63 pounds a month I am a disabled lady living in a 2 bedroom house I can’t read the meter shell said they send someone The readings I did try and give I must of put the decimal point in the wrong place within one month they reckon I use 542 pounds this is still on going been going on months I want to leave but have now got this bill they won’t even sort this out reckon my readings are wrong I will be contacting the energy ombudsman as nothing has been put right

Smart meters don’t work and long waiting time trying to get through to customer service, my contract ends in April I will be switching suppliers.

My bills have doubled and some months…

My bills have doubled and some months tripled to what they usually are since Shell Energy taking over from first utility who I was with prior to this. Insure why the huge increase but I’m unimpressed and shall be going elsewhere.

Update l, I have just rang your customer service on 0330 094 5800 and After a lengthy call wait time I eventually spoke to an angry sounding advisor called Martina, no please or thank you whatsoever and it prompted me to ask why she was speaking to me that way. She was uninterested and told me I’m in the flexible tariff which is more expensive Than other tariffs available but she couldn’t justify why my bills had increased as she’s said I’ve always been on this tariff. Martina didn’t answer when I asked why or if my tariff had changed or why I hadn’t been advised there was a better tariff but asked if I’d now like to swap and if I did I’d be in term for 14 months The saving she quoted wasn’t worth swapping to so I remain unimpressed but I now also have a poor opinion of your customer service staff as Martina was unfriendly, rude and didn’t seem to enjoy her role. I shall be changing suppliers.

would have put no stars if I could ….if you want to be mucked about for 4/5 hours and lied to on many occasions this is the compamy to join .customer care they would not know the meaning of word …if you want to deal with ashonky company seach no more ….they took over 1st utility in 2017 ..han a problem on my account to find out I do not have an account with them .so who am I paying £76 a month to because shell energy do not know ….rubbish rubbish rubbish having had a reply from shell energy they think your daft ……I know all that having been yet again on the phone this morning talking to one of your staff have asked her could I talk to a manager …sometime in the next 5 years one might ring me ….

FIRST I START BY SAYING, THIS SCAMMERS SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO OPERATE A BUSINESS AND DEAL WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC, I HAVE NEVER HAD THE STRESS THAT I HAVE BEFORE IN MY LIFETIME DUE TO COMPANY LYING, SERIOUSLY HIGH BILL’S AND THEIR STINKING ATTITUDES.
BEWARE NEW CUSTOMERS…. THE VERY FEW GOOD REVIEWS STATING THEY ARE HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE AND PRICES.. SERIOUSLY WATCH YOUR BACKS, THEY ARE FAKE, THEY WILL PULL YOU IN BEING ALL NICEY AND SAY THEY WILL PROVIDE YOU CHEAP RATES, THEN ONCE IN THEY WILL SPIT YOU BACK OUT AGAIN AND CAUSE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES.
I STARTED WITH FIRST UTILITY WHICH WAS NO PROBLEM AT ALL,,, I WAS £79 A MONTH WHICH I WAS COMFORTABLE PAYING, I THEN WAS TOLD IT WAS TO BE DECREASED TO £32 AS I DID NOT USE MUCH ENERGY WHICH I THOUGHT WAS FAIR AS I DIDN’T.
LATER ON IT WAS £82.
THEN THE SCAMMERS STARTED…. PUT UP MY MONTHLY PAYMENTS TO £122 THEN NOW £150 WITH ARREARS ON MY ACCOUNT OF OVER £600 WHICH THEY ARE SERIOUSLY TAKING THE MICKEY , FOR GOD SAKE SHELL ENERGY GET A GRIP, I LIVE ON MY OWN IN A SMALL COTTAGE!!!!!
THEY STATE THAT WHEN I WAS PAYING LEAST AMOUNT PER MONTH THAT WASN’T COVERING MY USAGE,,, BUT 1, IT WAS THE LAST COMPANY THAT TOOK IT DOWN AND 2 I DO NOT USE MUCH, I’M AVERAGING 18 KWH PER DAY USAGE WHICH IS LOW AS AVERAGE HOUSEHOLD USAGE IS 29.5KWH,WHERE THEY ARE GETTING THEIR FIGURES FROM I DO NOT KNOW.
I AM CURRENTLY DEALING WITH OMBUDSMAN AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE SHELL ARE LYING TO THE OMBUDSMAN AND MORE OR LESS ACCUSING ME OF SAYING THINGS THAT I DID NOT SAY, EVEN THOUGH SHELL RESOLVER ADVISER ADMITTED THEY WERE IN THE WRONG ABOUT METER READINGS, THAT’S ATROSHIS.!!!!
ALSO STATED ON THE OMBUDSMAN LETTERS, THE PERSON THAT WROTE IT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO WORK AND DEAL WITH PEOPLE AS THEY WERE ARROGANT, THEY ALSO SAID THAT I WAS ADAMANT THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG ON THEIR BEHALF, DOWN RIGHT AWFUL AS THEY ARE IN THE WRONG!!!!!
THIS IS TOO THE PERSON THAT WROTE THE LETTER……. YOU SHOULD BE ONLY FIT FOR CLEANING TOILETS OR A DUSTBIN MAN!!!!!!!!
YOU WILL BE REPORTED!!!!
I AM NOW GOING TO BE PERSUING A NO WIN NO FEE SOLICITOR TO TAKE OVER AS I HAVE PLENTY OF PROOF OF PHOTOS, EMAILS ETC ON MY BEHALF, I HAVE NO OTHER OPTION.
I KNOW SOMEONE IN THAT LINE OF WORK TO CHECK ALL MY INFO ETC, THEY ALSO SAID THAT SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE TO BRING THESE PEOPLE DOWN TO THE GROUND.
I WILL HAVE MEDICAL EVIDENCE HOW BAD THE STATE OF MY HEALTH IS CURRENTLY IN.

AT PRESENT IN THE MEANTIME, I EITHER TURNED OFF OR TURNED DOWN LOW AS IT GET MY GAS AND ELECTRIC APPLIANCES TO TRY PAY SOME DEBT BACK, BUT THEY WILL STILL FIND AWAY TO TAKE OVER.
I SIT MOSTLY IN THE DARK WITH A FEW CANDLES BURNING AND FREEZE TO A POINT MY HANDS ARE BLUE, FACE IS NUMB BEING VERY TRUTHFUL, MY SCARF TEMPERATURE CHART READS DANGER OF HYPOTHERMA.

SO EVERYONE WATCH YOURSELVES!!

SHELL DO NOT REPLY WITH YOUR UTTER CRAP BY STICKING UP FOR THE COMPANY AND YOU ARE SORRY THAT I FEEL THIS WAY BECAUSE YOU SURE AS HELL DONT MEAN IT
I MEAN TAKE A LOOK AT YOURSELVES AND GIVE IN,, MOSTLY EVERY OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE GETTING THE SAME TREATMENT WHICH IS TO SHOW YOUR ON TO SOMETHING, APART FROM THOSE POOR ONES THAT YOU HAVEN’T STARTED ON!!!!

problems with customer service

Although I had no problems whilst the account was running. When it came to moving supplier I have faced a lot of problems. My closing balance was incorrect and they charged me thousands of pounds incorrectly. It took a silly amount of phone calls to try and rectify this. The call centre staff are not trained well enough and do not listen to your query properly. Shell have refused to pay the money back to me via BACS and have sent a cheque = holding onto someone else’s money for longer. If you never have to call customer services then I doubt you’ll see a problem with them… if you do though be prepared to wait extraordinary lengths to speak to someone and for them then to talk to you and not understand what you’re saying.

Phoned in my meter readings after moving into a shell supplied property. Told them I would be switching suppliers, was then miss sold a tariff and threatened with early leaving charges of £100 a day later. An absolute joke! Spoke with service person, deputy team leader and then team leader who could do nothing and now waiting 10 days for an investigation. Tread carefully if you don’t want to be ripped off and spend 45 mins on the phone to people who don’t care.
